A workation base near Matam tech park

Matam is home to Intel, Google, Microsoft and half the country's R&D. Weekday visitors come in on business, and the hotel options are chain-boring. We can do better — a real apartment with fibre, a proper desk, groceries in the fridge before you land, and the Carmel beach twenty minutes on the light rail for the sunset run.

The setup

Every workation apartment gets: 200 Mbps fibre with backup 5G router, a proper desk chair (not a stool), a standing-desk converter, two monitors on request, ethernet cable ready, and the espresso machine already primed. We'll leave your first-day groceries in the fridge — send us your dietary details.

To Matam and back

Matam is fifteen minutes by taxi from downtown, twenty on the light rail. If you're on a two-week rotation, we'll set up a monthly light-rail card and hand it to you at check-in. Ask before booking — we'll match apartment to your commute.

A typical week

Weekday mornings you work — good light in every kitchen we run, decent espresso, quiet enough for calls. Lunch is at Douzan or one of the Ben Gurion salad places, back for the afternoon. Around 6pm the German Colony fills up, so most engineers we host wander down for arak and mezze before heading back for another call with San Francisco time. Fridays are short (Israel weekend is Friday-Saturday) — take the light rail down to Bat Galim beach, it's a fifteen-minute swim.

Gyms, runs, and the Carmel

The Carmel promenade runs seven kilometres along the ridge with the whole bay in view — the best morning run in the country, no exaggeration. Sabari Gym at Horev has day passes; Holmes Place at the Grand Kenyon is the chain option. If you rotate here monthly, we can arrange a discounted three-month pool membership at the Technion sports centre — quiet, Olympic-length, and forty shekels off if you're Sababa.
